Job description

  • Implement scalable hosting based on AWS ECS and EC2;
  • Manage and automate our cloud infrastructure with Terraform;
  • Make the performance of our systems visible to all engineers through New Relic dashboards and CloudWatch metrics;
  • Maintain and expand our CI/CD system based on Semaphore CI/CD and Github Actions;
  • Maintain and expand internal tooling that must be accessible to all engineers;
  • Continuously learn and grow by regularly testing your skills.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Booking Experts is looking for a DevOpsEngineer with at least 3 years of experience and a strong interest in scalable software solutions. Together with your experienced team, you will work on CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure, scalability, and security. As a team, you will be responsible for the infrastructure and tooling behind all systems at Booking Experts., * A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent level of knowledge.

  • Excellent command of the English language and residing in the Netherlands.
  • Availability of at least 36 hours per week with the ability to work at least once a week in the office in Enschede.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer with knowledge of tooling, infrastructure, and databases such as AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS, CloudFront, S3), Docker, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch.
  • The ability to learn from incidents, such as an outage or data breach, and turn them into improvements to our systems.
  • A learning mindset and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Nice to have (at least one required):

  • Proficiency in the Dutch language.
  • EU passport or work/residence permit.
  • Living in the area of Enschede.
