Job description
We are looking for a Tech Lead who will be responsible and accountable for all technology aspects within their project or squad. In this role, you will lead the technical design, development, and delivery of digital solutions, ensuring they are robust, secure, and scalable. You will act as the vital link between business objectives and technology implementation, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership to mentor teams and drive excellence in solution delivery., * Lead end-to-end technical design and architecture for assigned solution areas, with a focus on digital products leveraging graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) hosted in AWS and integrating with a variety of commercial and custom-built scientific software applications. Recommend improvements to system design, architecture, and performance.
- Oversee development and implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise architecture.
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, solution architects, developers, QA, operations) to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide hands-on guidance when necessary.
- Mentor and coach developers and technical team members, fostering growth and continuous learning.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-8+ years of proven experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade digital solutions for FAIR data management, ideally within the science, innovation, and labs domain.
- Deep knowledge of solution architecture, integration patterns, APIs, cloud technologies (especially AWS), and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j), including designing and implementing solutions hosted in AWS and integrating with both commercial and custom-built scientific software applications.
- Proficient in coding/scripting with relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Python, SQL, Cypher).
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with strong communication abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of guiding and mentoring technical teams.
