Are you an IT professional with a passion for problem-solving, innovation, and driving digital improvement? We are seeking an IT Project Officer to take ownership of developing and supporting the organisation's IT infrastructure while helping deliver smarter, more efficient ways of working.
This is an exciting and varied role with the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, influence business-wide systems, and play a key part in ongoing digital transformation projects, including the development of AI-driven processes.
About the Role
As the IT Project Officer, you will manage the day-to-day running of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation, strong security, and high-quality support for end users. You will also contribute to process improvement, digital innovation, and the development of new tools that enhance business performance.
You'll work across multiple departments, collaborating with both internal teams and external suppliers, while helping shape the organisation's future technology strategy., * Provide hands-on technical support to end-users and resolve IT issues efficiently.
- Maintain and develop IT infrastructure to ensure stability, performance, and security.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and implement effective solutions.
- Manage databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and compliance.
- Liaise with external suppliers regarding contracts, service agreements, and renewals.
- Deliver excellent customer service with timely, professional, and supportive communication.
- Lead and support the adoption of AI across the business (PQQs, tender reviews, marketing, reporting, etc.).
- Support the integration between Sage 200 and Construct for job costing and stock management.
- Provide user training on new systems, software, and hardware.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and oversee lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing, cybersecurity considerations, and IT best practices.
- Contribute to ongoing compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, FSC, and Investors in People standards.
- Carry out any additional duties deemed necessary by management., * Full UK driving licence (occasional travel to other sites may be required).
- Flexibility to support sister companies when needed.

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Sage?, * A 3rd level ICT qualification (degree/HNC/HND or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar IT role, including experience in digital transformation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
Desirable
- Experience delivering IT training to end-users.
