Job description
The Soventix technical team provides support across numerous key areas of its business activities. As a design engineer, your role will be to provide support to the technical team and grow your technical expertise in the renewable energy field with a focus on collocated solar and energy storage projects throughout Europe and Africa.
It is Soventix goal to work according to international best practice guidelines, provide company wide technical support and support continual improvement of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and Design
-Electrical and Mechanical Design and specification
-Management of engineering deliverables
-PV Performance Simulations
-Regulatory Compliance
-Feasibility Analysis
-CAD Design
-Site visits
-Tenders and Proposals
-Preparation of budgets and bill of materials
-SCADA design
General
-Adhering to company ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 processes
-Any other company requirements as and when needed
Requirements
·Strong multi-skilled individual
·Desire to work towards professional engineering registration
·Ability to work independently and be a teamwork advocate
·Attention to detail
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
·Electrical Engineering Graduate
·1-2 Years experience in the design and delivery of Solar PV and or Energy storage projects (desired but not essential)
·Excellent Excel skills
·Superb numerical and analytical skills
·Ability to cope with change and ambiguity
·Fluent spoken and written English
·Full UK Driving License
·Willingness to travel in Europe and Africa
·Capability to issue high level reporting
·Experience with BS 7671 and international IEC standardsis beneficial
·Experience with Autocad and PVSyst is a requirement
·Medium voltage and protection coordination experience is beneficial
