Job description
We're partnering with a fast-growing cybersecurity company building an enterprise-grade SaaS platform that helps businesses understand and protect their external attack surface.
They're looking for a PHP Developer with strong back-end experience in Laravel and hands-on AWS skills - someone passionate about secure, scalable development and excited to contribute to a platform that's increasingly leveraging AI and automation to stay ahead of cyber threats.
You'll be joining a small, collaborative engineering team where your ideas matter, working across product, architecture, and security to evolve a platform used by some of the UK's most security-mature organisations.
What You'll Do
- Build and enhance platform features using PHP (Laravel), React, and TypeScript.
- Deploy, manage, and scale applications in AWS, using modern, cloud-native approaches.
- Collaborate on new AI-driven functionality - improving automation, intelligence, and user insight.
- Design, integrate, and maintain APIs and microservices.
- Optimise the platform for performance, scalability, and security.
- Work closely with product and security leads to translate business goals into technical solutions.
Requirements
Essential:
- Strong back-end development experience with PHP (Laravel) and MySQL.
- Solid knowledge of AWS - including deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
- Understanding of secure coding principles and web application security.
- Comfortable working end-to-end across the stack in a small, fast-moving team.
Desirable:
- Professional experience in cybersecurity SaaS, threat intelligence, or vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, particularly around data classification or automation.
- Experience with CI/CD, containerisation, and serverless architectures.
- Front-end experience with React and TypeScript.
Benefits & conditions
- Play a key role in scaling a next-generation cybersecurity SaaS platform.
- Work with modern technologies (Laravel, React, AWS, AI).
- Collaborative, tech-led culture where ideas turn into shipped features quickly.
- Hybrid working: 3 days per week in Leeds city centre.
- Salary up to £65,000 + benefits.
