Job description

  • Design, build, and maintain internal Kubernetes-based developer platform.
  • Partner with engineering teams to drive Kubernetes and cloud-native technology adoption.
  • Support deployment and operation of services in Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Improve observability, alerting, and system reliability.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using IaC tools.
  • Champion DevOps practices and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Enhance scalability, security, and resilience of the platform.
  • Lead and own design, implementation, and evolution of solutions.
  • Ensure security is applied by design and prepare application security standards.
  • Educate product development teams on security best practices.

Requirements

An international IT hub in Barcelona seeks an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to design and maintain a Kubernetes-based developer platform. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, enhancing security practices, and automating CI/CD pipelines. Candidates should have over 4 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of GCP, Azure, and scripting, alongside a proactive approach to their work. Competitive compensation offered., * 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related role.

  • Proven hands-on experience operating Kubernetes clusters.
  • Strong working knowledge of GCP and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Solid Linux system and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Observability and monitoring expertise using tools like Grafana Stack and OpenTelemetry.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD workflows and DevOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and distributed system reliability.
  • Understanding of the GitOps approach.
  • Knowledge of non-relational databases, particularly MongoDB.
  • Experience working with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Hands-on mindset; ownership of solutions from design to deployment.
  • Open-minded, proactive, capable of leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in agile, cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of Information Security frameworks (NIST, OWASP, SANS).
