Job description
Akur8 is looking for a motivated, curious, and passionate Site Reliability Engineer to join the IT Operations team in Paris.
You will play a key role in deploying, maintaining, and monitoring the infrastructure used to build, test, and release our software, as well as managing our cloud production environments.
You will evolve in a dynamic and international environment, working with teams distributed across three time zones (North America, Europe, Japan).
You will collaborate daily with the three development teams we support, contributing to the reliability and performance of our platform while ensuring we meet our Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Your regular responsibilities shall cover the following areas:
- Deploy, maintain, and monitor the infrastructure used to build, test, and deploy the Akur8 software
- Participate in the provisioning and management of Akur8's cloud environments
- Support the growth of Akur8 and its products while ensuring SLO compliance
- Automate workflows and pipelines to reduce repetitive tasks
- Improve and maintain our CI pipelines (GitHub Actions), including best practices for Docker container management
- Design, develop, and maintain automation using Terraform, AWS CLI, Git, and tools written in Python, Go, or other relevant languages
- Participate in on-call rotations (once per month)
- Monitor and optimize system reliability using Datadog
- Promote and apply IT security best practices
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams and contribute to a strong team culture - we are looking for a true team player

Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Cloud providers: AWS, Azure
Infrastructure & automation: Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, AWS CLI, Git
Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
Observability: Datadog
Authentication & security: Auth0
Programming languages: Python, GoLang, Java
Automation / AI Agents: Agentic
For this key role within our IT Operations team we're keen to speak to applicants that meet the following criteria:

Engineering degree or Master's degree in Computer Science

Strong experience with monitoring and maintaining production systems

Good knowledge of IT security best practices

Significant experience with AWS and Azure

Solid experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, and automation workflows

Strong programming skills (Python, Go, etc.)

Fluency in English

Compensation Range: CA$110K - CA$150K
