We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Frontend Engineer for our newly established Technology Hub in Madrid. At the same time, you take advantage of the stability, resources, and reach of a successful global company., As Senior Frontend Engineer, you have a strong foundation in React and TypeScript and thrive in component-driven design. You will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and accessible enterprise user interfaces that power our digital experiences across platform. You will contribute to global products and design systems that serve both internal and external customers in commercial real estate across multiple regions. Working closely with international Product & Design, Engineering, DevOps, Data, QA and Architecture teams, you will ensure delivery excellence, software quality and great customer experience., You are a hands-on problem-solver with strong software design principles, who thrives in a collaborative and agile environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical direction and mentor junior engineers while building solutions with real business impact. You will work within the Global Technology Department from our Madrid office (two days a week). Frontend Development
- Implement scalable and maintainable B2B software products.
- Design and build modular, reusable UI components using React and TypeScript.
- Ensure frontend performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across browsers and devices.
- Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and collaborate with backend engineers to define and document interfaces.
- Contribute to architecture discussions/technology evaluation and participate in system and code reviews.
- Maintain and evolve our design system and component library based on Figma and Storybook.
- Contribute to the implementation of automated frontend tests.
- Help define and adhere to coding standards, documentation and software lifecycle best practices. CI/CD, and secure coding.
UX and Design Implementation
- Translate design from Figma into high-fidelity, pixel-perfect user interface.
- Contribute to design feasibility discussions and provide technical insights during design phases.
- Collaborate with designers to maintain consistency across branding, interaction patterns, and UI behaviours.
Technical Leadership
- Act as a technical mentor to mid-level and junior engineers within your team or project and beyond.
- Identify opportunities for technical improvements and advocate for high-quality engineering standards.
- Participate in design and code review sessions to uphold engineering excellence across the team.
- Take on technical ownership of production systems.
- Continuous improvement of agile methodologies and tools.
Quality and Performance
- Drive culture of test-first development with unit, integration and performance testing.
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of production issues, ensuring high reliability and uptime.
- Contribute to ongoing design system refactoring and modernization efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development using React and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with Figma, Storybook, component libraries and design systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate designs into functional interfaces.
- Familiarity with internationalization/localization, accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and modern CSS (e.g. CSS Modules, Tailwind or Emotion).
- Experience working in Agile distributed environments and using tools such as Jira, GitHub, Miro and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with frontend test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English and Spanish.
- Passionate about building web applications based on high-quality component libraries and user interfaces with empowered teams.
- Understanding of secure development practices (e.g. XSS prevention) and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, GDPR, SOC2).
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Familiarity with state management patterns (e.g. Redux, React Context etc.).
- Experience with observability tools (e.g. Sentry, Lighthouse etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing tech environment and to foster change in larger organizations.
