At INDRA DEIMOS, we design and deliver complete space systems for Earth observation, communications, and scientific missions. Our Systems Engineering Competence Centre leads the technical architecture of satellite platforms, from early concept to on-orbit operations. We are currently working on multiple ESA and commercial projects, applying cutting-edge technologies to shape the future of space.What's the Challenge?As a Senior Space Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and verification of complex spacecraft systems. You will coordinate technical activities across subsystems, define system-level requirements, and ensure architectural consistency throughout the mission lifecycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will drive performance, reliability, and innovation across all mission phases.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeLeading the design, development, and verification of critical subsystems (OBDH, AOCS, Propulsion, Communications

EPS)Defining and managing system-level requirements and ensuring interface compatibilityDeveloping and maintaining the spacecraft system architecture across all subsystemsPerforming trade-off analyses, simulations, and optimizations for mass, power, cost, and performanceCoordinating hardware and software integration across subsystemsSupporting cross-functional activities with Ground Segment and Flight Operations teamsLeading anomaly resolution and troubleshooting throughout the project lifecyclePreparing and maintaining technical documentation: requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and design reviewsCollaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure mission and operational successWhat We're Looking ForTechnical SkillsProven experience in spacecraft systems engineering and subsystem coordinationStrong understanding of MBSE methodologies and system-level designFamiliarity with mechanical, thermal, radiation, and propulsion systemsProficiency in space design and analysis tools (CATIA, NASTRAN/PATRAN, ESATAN, FASTRAD)Hands-on approach to solving cross-functional technical challengesKnowledge of New Space practices and low-level integration techniquesExperience with ECSS standards and technical documentationAbility to analyze and verify system configurations under operational constraintsAdditional Valued SkillsExperience with Capella or Valispace MBSE toolsKnowledge of Python or other scripting languagesTechnical writing and familiarity with space-related standardsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldMaster's or PhD is a plus10+ years of experience in relevant roles within the space industryLanguage SkillsFluent English (minimum B2 level)Spanish is a plusPersonal AttributesCollaborative, proactive, and reliableStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage priorities and work in dynamic environmentsWillingness to travel occasionally and work across DEIMOS locations or customer
