Job description

  • Leading, managing and motivating an internal customer facing support team in the accurate calculation, construction and issuing of estimate and actualised service charges ensuring compliance with legal deadlines, contractual agreements, policies and procedures
  • Optimise data collection processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy
  • Co-ordinate data and configuration aspects of the annual processes, such as estimate and actual setting, data loading and letter production within statutory deadlines
  • Ensure quality assurance on service charging processes including leading on audits and reporting
  • Partnering with business areas across the organisation to prepare annual service charge income budgets and accurately accounting for expenditure.
  • Lead on change management with respect to service charge data, systems and processes, including developing and maintaining the annual cycle plan
  • Supporting the development, implementation and embedding of systems and process improvements to support the transformation of service charge delivery
  • Develop procedures and controls which adhere to legislation, regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Lead on projects which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the service

Requirements

Do you have experience in Change management?, * A strong understanding of residential and commercial service charge management, including current legislative requirements and industry best practices.

  • Knowledge of the legal and statutory framework around service charges
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel
  • Excellent financial and numeracy skills
  • Ability to interpret numerical data and complex documents and present analysis and conclusions in an easy-to-understand way, both in person and in writing
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage and monitor a range of team tasks and responsibilities and work to tight deadlines
