Job description

Join LHH RS and work on-site with our client in Bern as a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d).

You'll work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to create meaningful experiences with Fortinet products.

With the upcoming launch of the Digital Platform, the focus is on the secure and stable operation of the implemented components and products. You act independently and with commitment and are familiar with the DevSecOps model. With your passion for IT, you will be responsible for the following topics:

  • Service Request Management
  • IT Service Management (Incident, Problem, Change)
  • Security
  • Further development and automation

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operation, maintenance, and further development of Fortinet products in WAF (Web Application Firewall) and RAS (Remote Access Service)
  • Responsible for integration into the overall ICT landscape, its components, and subsystems
  • Point of contact for all topics related to Fortinet products: product know-how, integration questions
  • Works closely with adjacent teams (Application, Network Layer, Infrastructure Layer)

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (HF, FH, university, or equivalent)
  • Solid know-how and practical experience with Fortinet products
  • Substantial experience in large, heterogeneous, and distributed ICT infrastructures
  • Strong engineering skills (methodology, processes & models, and their application)
  • Practical experience in automation and programming (PowerShell, Ansible) as well as connecting heterogeneous APIs
  • Experience working in environments with high security requirements (financial sector, emergency services, etc.)
  • Strong competencies in Microsoft infrastructure topics
  • 3+ years of experience in automation and infrastructure provisioning
  • Excellent German language skills (spoken and written)
  • Valid personal security check (PSC)

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Experience in related areas such as Endpoint Protection, AD, PKI, and Fortinet Load Balancing
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Communicative, persuasive, committed, and resilient personality
