Job description
We are hiring an Engineering Manager who will lead the Commercial Systems unit, focusing on the Business Systems team that handles NetSuite, Salesforce and other core business applications. The role will build engineering excellence, embed business understanding, and deliver first-class experiences for Canonical employees. Responsibilities
- Accountability for the design and development of an internal product
- Lead a team of software engineers
- Develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports
- Seek improvements to established processes, designs, and solutions

Requirements
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject, or a compelling narrative about an alternative path
- Track record of exceeding expectations to achieve outstanding results
- Experience with software development in Salesforce, NetSuite, or another CRM/ERP system
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- Result-oriented mindset with personal drive to meet commitments
- Able to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience in accounting, sales, sales operations, or other business roles
- Performance engineering background
