Senior Back-End Engineer

Overview Preply's Engineering Team delivers the tools that unlock human potential through learning. We prioritize data-driven decision making, A/B testing, and continuous monitoring to ensure high-quality products. What You'll Be Doing * Develop and own backend features in Python/Django, including new services and API integrations. * Consider customer needs and define solutions with cross-functional teams. * Balance rapid delivery with long-term technical quality. * Guide the team on technical decisions, best practices in testing, code reviews, and monitoring. What You Need to Succeed * Experience with architectural patterns for

large, high-scale web applications. * Willingness to support small JavaScript/TypeScript tasks. * Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to build safeguards. * High self-organization, ownership, and responsibility. * Excellent verbal and written communication; minimum B2 English. * Willingness to be on-call every fifth week.
