Function Design Engineer - Engine OBD Functieomschrijving As a Function Design Engineer for heavy-duty dieseland hydrogen engines, the role involves taking the lead indeveloping OBD/OBM-related control concepts, defining system-levelrequirements for software functionality. Key responsibilitiesinclude: - Developing development plansfor necessary control updates related to new OBD/OBMregulations. - Creating controller concepts fornew OBD requirements, including verification with SIL, HIL, or RCPon an engine. - Documenting controllerrequirements on the engine system level withclarity. - Supporting calibration engineers withpre-calibration of new controllerconcepts. - Sharing OBD expertise within thegroup and contributing to the vision for future OBD/OBMconcepts. - Playing a key role as an integratorbetween suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop controlconcepts for OBD/OBM monitoring. Functie-eisen Theideal candidate will possess: - An MScdegree in Automotive or MechanicalEngineering. - Knowledge of EU and NA emissionand OBD regulations. - Experience with engine andaftertreatment controllerdevelopment. - Leadership abilities to lead atechnical team and interact with suppliers regarding OBDmatters. - Experience with Six Sigma-relatedprocesses (DMAIC, Design For Six Sigma, FMEA, MonteCarlo). - Good knowledge of the requirementengineering process. - Extensive proficiency inMatlab and Simulink. - Experience with Doors NextGeneration is a plus. - Mandatory good Englishskills; Dutch skills are a plus.
