Job description

Would you like to build, guide and inspire a newly formed Data Automation Team of automation specialists? Where you can really make an impact on improving customer experience, by providing better and more product data and while working with very large data sets (2 million sellable products), advanced technology and good tooling? Then join Kramp in Varsseveld/Utrecht in shaping the future of Agri-Tech as Data Automation Team Manager!

What is your role?

In Kramp's Product Content department, we handle enormous volumes of product data. Kramp actively sells over 2 million unique products and maintains hundreds of millions of product relations and product attributes. The product data is a core dataset that powers our e-commerce platform, procurement, compliance and logistics processes. As our product portfolio continues to grow, we are forming this new Data Automation Team of three automation specialists. And we need you to build, guide and inspire this team.

Your specific tasks include:

  • build and lead a high-performing team focusing on data automation, analysis and science

  • design and manage data pipelines utilizing large-scale compute power via Kubeflow

  • collaborate closely with other product content teams to deliver measurable business outcomes

  • translate complex business problems into practical data automation solutions

  • develop and maintain data products within a well established infrastructure. We use Google Cloud environment (GBQ, Vertex AI, Cloud Build) as well as STEP as data management system.

  • experiment and develop AI models to improve products categorization, assortment optimization, product content, etc.

  • define the team's roadmap, set priorities, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

An example of specialization areas your team will work on may include:

  • Make Model: identifying part-to-tractor model fits.

  • Auto Classification: suggest best classification and categorisation for products

  • Assortment selection automation: identifying the best assortment for our market

Your team

Your team consists of 2 data automation specialists and will grow to 3. You will report to the Head of Product Content and closely collaborate with all teams in the Product Content department.

Requirements

  • A completed Master's degree, preferably in Data Science or a related field

  • 5+ years of working experience in data-driven environments, leadership experience preferred. Mid-level candidates are encouraged to apply

  • Proficiency in English

  • Strong skills in SQL and Python

  • Experience working in cloud environment (Google Cloud), ETL/ELT (e.g. dbt), git

  • Experience with machine learning (classification algorithms) and interest in Large Language Models

  • Familiarity with CI/CD environments

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Be present at least three days per week at our head office in Varsseveld or Utrecht (remaining days optionally remote).
