Job description

The IT Manager is responsible for steering and managing the IT landscape in our data centers, ensuring the delivery of optimal IT services. The role involves executing the IT strategy, managing the IT team in the Netherlands, managing IT resources, ensuring data security, and driving technological innovation across the organisation.

This position reports to the Managing Director in the Netherlands and is part of the Dutch Management Team. You will also work closely with the Group IT Director., In this role, the focus will be on leading, mentoring, and managing a team of five IT professionals who are based in the Netherlands. It is important to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the IT department.

Collaboration is essential in this role. You will work closely with the Operational and Facilities teams to ensure all IT assets and systems are fully operational and up to date. This means partnering with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business objectives, connecting people, identifying interdependencies, involving stakeholders, and driving the smooth implementation of plans.

Other key responsibilities in this IT Manager role are:

  • Data Security: Ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data center systems for performance and reliability.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels.
  • Disaster Recovery: Maintain business continuity and recovery plans.
  • Budgeting: Develop and manage departmental budgets effectively.

Together with the IT Director, you will focus on innovation, identifying and implementing emerging technologies to enhance IT efficiency and capabilities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Team management?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience; experience within the data center or IT industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building, electrical and security monitoring systems.
  • Strong team management skills and excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Hands-on mentality, proactive and a lead-by-example attitude.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure; strong analytical, decision-making and control skills.
