As Data Governance Manager, you'll play a key part in shaping our Data Strategy, guiding how data is governed, protected, and ethically used. Your mission: transform data into a strategic asset, inform critical business decisions, and champion a culture of analytical excellence throughout the organisation.

The role will offer hybrid-working based at our Pagoda House office in Harrogate (HG2 7DL). Please note that this role requires a regular on-site presence so fully remote applicants will not be considered., * Drive Data Governance maturity in line with Bettys and Taylors Group's Data & Analytics Strategy.
- Implement frameworks, processes, and policies to ensure data ownership, accountability, access, and compliance.
- Build a strong Data Governance culture through cross-team collaboration and best practice.
- Monitor data quality indicators and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
- Oversee Metadata Management by documenting lineages, definitions, and data flows.
- Lead the Data Governance team, focusing on stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- Integrate Data Governance standards into technology and change projects with other teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Metadata?, * Proven experience leading Data Governance or Data Management functions.
- Expertise in Data Governance principles, policies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001), with ongoing professional development.
- Strong technical skills in data modelling, integration, and storage.
- Experience managing both internal and contractor resources.
- Background in supporting training or engagement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities across organisational levels.
- Familiarity with data management tools (Purview, erwin, Collibra, Informatica).
- Data Management certifications (e.g., DAMA) preferred.
