Technical Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Technical Test Engineer to join our team, ensuring the highest quality and reliability of the solutions we deliver to our clients.

You will be testing complex, custom-built web applications that follow a microservices architecture. This role requires strong hands-on experience across all testing layers (UI, API, database and backend microservices), with practical use of AWS services to set up test data, trigger events, and verify behaviour., * Create and execute detailed manual test cases for sprint deliverables and major releases

• Perform manual regression testing to complement existing automated suites
• Conduct accessibility and exploratory testing (planned and documented)
• Execute API testing and validate end-to-end integration and data flow
• Write SQL queries to locate, create, manipulate and reconcile test data
• Identify, log, and verify defects; re-test fixes
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts and the wider sprint team to clarify requirements and define test scope
• Contribute actively to test planning, estimation, risk analysis and all Scrum ceremonies
• Drive quality throughout the sprint and escalate risks early

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Minimum 3 years of hands-on testing experience, with at least 3 years focused on the technical responsibilities listed above

• ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification
• Proven experience testing web applications built on microservices architecture, including backend microservices testing
• Strong API testing experience (Postman, RestAssured or similar)
• Hands-on experience using AWS services in a testing context (ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS) to trigger services/events and prepare test conditions
• Practical experience with Docker
• Proficient with JIRA and Zephyr Enterprise (or Zephyr Scale) for test and defect management
• Solid SQL skills for data setup and verification
• Experience performing accessibility testing using Axe (or equivalent) plus manual checks
• Strong exploratory testing skills with clear documentation of findings
• Confident working in Scrum teams and actively participating in all ceremonies
• Excellent communication skills - able to challenge constructively and represent the testing perspective
