Job description
You will be an integral part of the Avionics, Guidance, Navigation & Control (AGNC) department, specifically the Avionics Control Systems team, that designs, tests and integrates electronic control units for the Spectrum launch vehicle.
You will be a core part of the project team that designs and tests the Avionics Control Unit for the next Launch Vehicle Iteration. Interdisciplinary tasks and fast paced R&D are your daily business, and you thrive in that kind of environment.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Be the product owner of the PCB of the Avionics Control Unit, drive requirement definition, schematic capture, layout and design verification;
- Own all interfaces of your product across its lifecycle, from design to manufacturing to verification and integration, including all technical and programmatic interfaces;
- Take on unit level tasks including design, qualification & acceptance testing, as well as integration and return analysis;
- Support vehicle integration and testing, both in Germany and on the launch pad;
- Taken on responsibilities within the ECAD environment such as component library management;
- Actively participate in the definition of the Avionics architecture and associated technology roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable;
- 5+ years of working experience with complex PCBs and Electronic Units;
- Excellent knowledge of circuit theory, electronics and signal processing;
- Extensive Experience in E-CAD tools (Schematic & Layout Design), preferably Altium Designer;
- Extensive Experience with the hardware design of embedded systems;
- Extensive Experience in verification of complex circuitry, such as analog frontend verification, stability analysis or EMI testing;
- Experience with analogue circuitry such as solenoid drivers or DCDC Converters;
- Hands On mentality § Can-do attitude;
- Fluent in spoken and written English., * Experience in Electronic Unit design;
- Previous product ownership;
- Experience in embedded software or digital design;
- Experience with power electronics.
