Job description
As a member of our team, you will dive into the heart of our technology and contribute directly to the ABAP Kernel & Virtual Machine. Your main tasks will include:
- Designing and implementing performance metrics and tools to analyze and improve our Garbage Collector
- Conducting measurements and interpreting the results to identify optimization potential
- Developing and enhancing tools for the analysis of ABAP object references and memory management
- Collaborating with our expert developers throughout the development process
Requirements
- You are a currently enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or college
- You have solid programming skills in modern C++ (ideally C++17 or higher)
- You are a curious and analytical problem-solver with a strong interest in learning about virtual machines and garbage collection
- You are willing to learn the basics of the ABAP programming language
- Familiarity with version control systems (like Git) and debugging tools is a strong plus
- Good communication skills in both English and German are required (min. B2)
- Coming to the office in Walldorf min. once a week required
