Job description

We're hiring one of the earliest members of the Web Engineering team at amo. In the first few months, you'll work closely with the team to build and own the systems that power our operations, analytics, and distribution. As an early member of the team, we're looking for versatile engineers who are comfortable owning entire surfaces, from architecture to implementation to monitoring.

We value engineers who go deep, develop strong subject-matter expertise, and take full responsibility for their area. You'll contribute to scaling our web stack, our internal product philosophy, and the speed at which the company can learn and scale.

The Web team at amo builds the backbone of our internal platform: from Backoffice tools to growth dashboards, from experimentation systems to invite-page infrastructure, from analytics instrumentation to the UI and backend layers that empower other teams to operate effectively., To ensure that everyone is set up for success within our way of working, we work together onsite 5 days a week.

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, We're hiring for multiple levels; please specify your years of experience when applying.

  • 5+ years of professional experience building SaaS products and/or internal tools from scratch.
  • Experience with growth engineering, experimentation systems, segmentation, and analytics instrumentation.
  • Comfortable with API design, API integration, and building reliable third-party connectors.
  • Familiarity with Temporal, Restate, or other orchestration/workflow systems.
  • High proficiency with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, etc.) and NodeJS/TypeScript.
  • Comfortable working autonomously across frontend and backend. knowledge in infrastructure ( Bazel, GCP, K8s ) would be highly appreciated.
  • Strong intuition for performance, correctness, observability, and scalability of internal systems.
  • Experience building data visualizations and dashboards, or working with analytics/data tools.
  • Bonus: Experience building AI-powered pipelines, automated content systems, or scalable generation workflows.
  • You don't need to speak French to apply (and you don't need perfect English, we'll help you ramp up quickly).

Benefits & conditions

We wanted to make sure coming to the office was as comfortable as possible for you:

  • We chose a location in central Paris, near Opera (Metro lines 3,8,9 and RER A).
  • We have a beautiful Parisian-style office with high ceilings, balconies, and huge windows. So a lot of natural light!

Because life outside of work should also be stress-free, we cover:

  • Health care (100% coverage).
  • Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Second Parent Leave (salary maintained at 100%).
  • Vacation days: 8-9 weeks (total) per year - (European summer? ).
  • 5 weeks of paid time off (by the state);
  • 1-2 additional weeks (RTT, based on our company contract);
  • ~11 bank holidays. We shut down entirely twice a year, two weeks in summer and one week in winter to allow everyone to truly recharge and to avoid prolonged slowdowns (especially in the summer). These pauses are part of your total vacation time, giving everyone a real chance to unplug and recharge. No Slack, no email, no FOMO.

We love the diverse perspectives we get from having people from all over the world join us (68% of our team is international), and so we of course support relocation to Paris with:

  • Help and sponsored visa process.
  • 1 month of Airbnb 100% covered by amo upon arrival.
  • Assistance from a trusted relocation agency to find your permanent home.

  • French lessons to be fully set with your new Parisian life.
