Job description

Own the Cloud : Manage, secure, and evolve our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).

Automate Everything : Design, build, and maintain our CI / CD pipelines to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable software delivery.

Secure by Design : Act as the technical security champion. You will manage and enhance our security posture by maintaining secure firewall configurations, managing vulnerability scanning and patch management processes, and implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems.

Maintain Uptime and Resilience : Monitor system and application health, responding to incidents and working with development teams on remediation. You'll also play a key role in supporting our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) technical procedures.

Drive Best Practices : Implement and manage infrastructure change control, ensuring all modifications are secure, tested, and documented.

Requirements

  • Have 2 - 4 years' experience in a DevOps, SRE or Cloud Security Engineer role;
  • Are familiar with Terraform;
  • Have exposure to GCP, and;

Are based in Europe and comfortable in a remote working environment.

Reporting to our Senior Technical Lead, you will join a close-knit group of engineers and scientists who enjoy solving real problems together. You will collaborate daily with software development, data engineering, data science, and systems operations to build and run products our customers rely on for confident risk decisions. Your ideas will be heard, you will have ownership of meaningful work, and you will see the impact of what you ship.

If you like working with talented people who are friendly, pragmatic, and curious, you will fit in well here., Proven Experience : You have experience working as a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Security Engineer, in a hands-on capacity.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expertise : You have experience managing production workloads in GCP. A relevant certification (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer) is a plus but not required.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : You are comfortable with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.

Security Mindset : You have practical experience with vulnerability management, firewall configuration, security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS / IPS), and embedding security into CI / CD pipelines.

Automation & Scripting Skills : You are comfortable scripting in languages like Python or Bash to automate tasks.

Pragmatic Problem-Solver : You are a self-starter who can work autonomously, take ownership of complex problems, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location : You are based in Europe and are comfortable working remotely.

Bonus Points : You're familiar with using AI tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, generative AI for scripting) to enhance productivity and code quality.
