Job description

This role is London based but may involve travel within the UK and Europe and will require flexibility.

What youll be doing:

As a Director, we expect you to lead in the following areas:

  • Delivery Excellence - guiding clients through their digital transformation journey

  • Combine strategic advisory and thought leadership to build trusted relationships with C-suite and wider client stakeholders

  • Translate complex data opportunities into clear business outcomes, use cases, and investment strategies

  • Shape and execute data-driven strategies, leverage advanced analytics, AI, and modern data platforms to unlock measurable business value

  • Lead high-performing teams from multiple locations to design and implement innovative solutions

  • Business Development - shaping our propositions and services

Support pre-sales activities:

  • Create and qualify new opportunities, from initial discovery through to contract signature

  • Anticipate sector trends and regulatory change; translate them into differentiated propositions

  • Contribute to account strategies and collaborate with sales leaders to expand our footprint, leveraging trusted relationships and consulting-led sales

Practice Development - sustainably scaling our business:

  • Define and develop Data & AI propositions, frameworks and methodologies to grow our practice and ensure scalable, repeatable delivery

  • Build, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary teams of consultants, engineers, and AI specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence

  • Support career development and skills growth within the practice

Business Relationships:

  • Practice leaders and members

  • Sales leaders

  • Peer level relationships within client organisations up to, CIO, CDO, Chief Data Architect level

Requirements

We are seeking a pragmatic, detail oriented and experienced Data Consulting Director to join our growing Data & AI practice., * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Currently working in a major Management Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Management Consulting background and proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation

  • 10/15+ years of experience in data consulting, or a related role

  • Deep understanding of trends in data governance, data platforms, cloud technologies, AI/ML, and analytics

  • Experience of leading and delivering Data & AI projects

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders, overcoming resistance to change

  • Skilled in identifying Data & AI opportunities, shaping value propositions, and driving growth

  • Track record of building and managing high-performing teams

  • Keeping pace with the rapidly evolving data and AI technology landscape

  • Experience in data, consulting, analytics or a related function involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems

  • University Degree / BSc in Computer Science, Information Management, or Information Technology
