Java Developer

• Develop, maintain and optimise backend services using Java and Node.js
• Build and deploy applications on AWS following best practices
• Work within an Agile delivery team, contributing to sprints, ceremonies and code reviews
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and other engineers to deliver high-impact features
• Ensure code quality, security and performance are upheld
• Support CI/CD processes, testing and automation

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience across Java, Node.js, and AWS to support large-scale digital transformation projects within a secure public-sector environment. You will join a collaborative engineering team focused on delivering secure, scalable and high-quality services., * Strong commercial experience with Java (core + modern frameworks)

• Hands-on experience with Node.js
• Proven background delivering solutions in AWS environments
• Understanding of microservices, APIs and distributed systems
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native tooling

Desirable

• Previous experience working in public-sector or secure environments
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Exposure to containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
