Job description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux System Administrator to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Linux-based infrastructure. You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure system stability, security, and performance., Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Maintain system security by applying patches and updates regularly
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
Monitor system logs and respond to incidents or performance issues
Collaborate with development and network teams to support CI / CD pipelines and production environments
Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures
Ensure system uptime and reliability according to SLAs
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in Linux administration
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting
Experience with web servers (Apache, NGINX), database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS, firewalls)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications :
Linux certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+)
Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
Knowledge of CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices
