Job description
In the role of IT Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for the management of the IT networks and the design, development and delivery of new IT infrastructure to MSC new build ships. You will support and improve the IT operations processes and services in the field of Cloud on premises technologies, InfraOps and Cyber Security
Your Impact
- Supports IT Infrastructure and critical applications of enterprise
- Designs, develops and implements IT networks onboard
- Project leads MSC Newbuilds and refitting projects
- Maintains responsibilities for the implementation of the IT architecture plan
- Provides hands-on infrastructure solution architecture leadership, guiding and shaping solutions across MSC Cruise Management
- Leads formal and informal technical reviews to assure the quality of the infrastructure solution design and change approach
- Supports the infrastructure solution architecture implementation, continuous improvement and ongoing refinement activities
- Monitors and supports infrastructure availability, scalability and performance
- Third line support to MSC CM IT support functions
- Manages third party contractors related to relevant fields
Requirements
- Degree qualified or compable qualification essential
- Experience with Windows administration systems and Microsoft Office 365
- Knowledge of networking protocols, routing and network administration AD, DC, DNS, DHCP
- Practical experience in Cloud systems either Azure or AWS
- Experience of data centre management and backup technologies
- Knowledge of VMware, anti-virus and data encryption
- Excellent stakeholder management, with strong project leadership skills
- Good analysis skills, both requirement analysis and problem analysis/troubleshooting
Your Essentials
- Fluent in the English language, a knowledge of other European languages is advantageous
- Right to work in the UK and ability to travel within the EU
- Flexibility to travel globally and spend time onboard
