Job description

To act as a pivotal technical interface within the NCI Agency's Early Engagement function, bridging the gap between customer needs and project delivery teams. The incumbent will be responsible for defining, managing, and translating business and technical requirements into actionable plans and system designs for medium-complexity C4ISR initiatives. This role focuses on early solution architecting, fostering stakeholder alignment, promoting service-oriented transitions, and ensuring the coherent adoption of optimal technologies to meet strategic business objectives., * Lead requirements definition, scoping, and prioritisation for medium-complexity initiatives, establishing baselines and ensuring traceability.

  • Plan and drive systems development projects, selecting appropriate methods and ensuring alignment with architecture, security, and standards.
  • Design and oversee systems integration, including build configuration, testing, and documentation for configuration management.
  • Act as the liaison between the CTO Early Engagement team and NIMSC project teams to ensure clear requirement handover.
  • Facilitate stakeholder collaboration, moderate technical discussions, and present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Analyse processes, identify improvements, and promote the shift from assets to service-oriented solutions.
  • Develop technology roadmaps and assess emerging technologies for adoption into larger C4ISR systems.
  • Deputise for senior staff and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Configuration management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.

  • Experience with drafting ICT design and/or software development and planning of system and software delivery for large C4ISR projects
  • Experience in identifying and assessing new and emerging technologies and their adoption into larger systems
  • Experience in developing technology roadmaps taking into account emerging technology solutions.
  • Experience managing relationships with technical stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Proven ability to apply analytical and systems thinking to complex problems.
  • Proven ability to moderate technical design related discussions with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience with presenting complex technical concepts to a diverse audience and at times non-technical audience
