L3 Systems Engineer Team Leader

Lead and support a team of engineers responsible for keeping our platforms stable, secure and high-performing, while also handling HR tasks like training plans and scheduling. Help resolve technical issues and service requests using our internal ticketing system, ensuring we meet or exceed agreed service levels. Provide guidance on infrastructure for our Direct Debit products and support environments across AWS and multiple data centres. Drive improvements to how we work, from security patching and disaster recovery to systems monitoring and service automation.

You're passionate about technology and how it can make things better, more secure, and more efficient., Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, and tools such as Terraform for managing infrastructure. A solid background in systems engineering across Windows, Linux, and databases like MySQL or AWS Aurora. Knowledge of scripting (e.g. PowerShell or shell scripting) to automate tasks and streamline processes. Familiarity with SSL certificate management, networking, and system monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Splunk.
