Job description
- Be the go-to expert for end-user support, troubleshooting issues across Microsoft 365, AD, Entra ID, MS Teams, VPN, and more.
- Configure and deploy laptops, lab devices, and mobile phones across the organisation.
- Manage endpoint compliance, MFA, and user access controls.
- Maintain and update devices, firmware, and operating systems to keep everything secure and running smoothly.
- Support mobile enrolment and app rollout via Intune.
- Contribute to process improvements and keep documentation up to date.
- Ensure IT assets are accurately recorded and managed in line with policy.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN?, Are you passionate about delivering seamless IT experiences? Join our IT Operations team here at NPL and play a key role in ensuring colleagues have the tools and services they need to work efficiently and securely. This is a new and exciting role with plenty of scope to make an impact., * Familiar with Service Management principles and working to the ITIL framework.
- Experience of working with modern IT Service Management tools (e.g. FreshService).
- Strong hardware diagnostics skills with experience of maintaining mainstream Desktop/Laptop and Server devices.
- Strong knowledge and experience in endpoint management tools and technologies including Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, Active Directory, Device monitoring, Entra ID.
- Proficiency in automation technologies and scripting (e.g. PowerShell Power; Platform automation).
- Strong cloud tech awareness including proficiency with M365 and Azure.
- Proficient in managing devices in multiple OS platforms including Windows, Linux, IOS, Android.
- Proficiency in primary network management including knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPSec, LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall and Switch management, Networking Principles.
- Proficient in configuring and managing IOS & Android mobile phones
- Proficient in supporting Audio Visual systems and technologies
