Job description
At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has openings for onsite Network System Administrators for varying skill levels. The successful candidate will work within multiple teams and will be innovative and analytical with a good eye for detail. Your role will include implementing standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems
- Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality
- Create, maintain, and utilise documentation
- Assist building compliance with our processes and policies
Requirements
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Working to ITIL best practices
- Desire to improve processes, looking for the root cause of a problem
- Willingness to both share your knowledge and learn from others
- A proactive approach towards looking for risks and problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to adapt quickly and work in an agile fashion
Desirable Skills And Technologies
- Experience in Cisco, including Nexus family, ASA family, ACI and Hyperflex
- Knowledge of F5 software, including LTM, ASM and GTM
- Knowledge in VMware, including vSphere, NSX-V and NSX-T
- Exposure to cloud services, such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Experience in Dell VxRAIL
- Knowledge of SolarWinds NCM - NPM would also be useful
- Experience in Software Defined Networking
