Job description
You will join a security team that operates as part of a global cybersecurity network, giving you broad exposure to international standards, mature processes, and advanced security ecosystems. You'll work with leading security technologies and contribute across multiple domains, from operational security to strategic project work.
What You'll Take On
- Refine and evolve security operations workflows, identifying weaknesses, monitoring patterns, and proposing actionable improvements that enhance detection, response, and protection.
- Assist in security incident handling, supporting investigations, coordinating remediation steps with external monitoring partners, and ensuring established procedures are followed accurately to reduce operational impact.
- Maintain deep technical understanding of core security platforms used across the enterprise-such as endpoint protection suites, SIEM environments, and system-management tools.
- Support the vulnerability lifecycle, including scanning activities, prioritization discussions, and collaboration with IT/OT teams to drive remediation.
- Participate in security assessments, ranging from internal risk evaluations to penetration testing support and cyber-readiness exercises.
- Contribute to organizational security awareness, helping design and manage training initiatives through dedicated learning platforms.
- Lead or participate in security-focused initiatives and improvement programs that elevate the organization's overall security maturity.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering-or equivalent real-world experience.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, system engineering, incident response, or similar fields.
- Strong background in network protection, endpoint security, and threat analysis.
- Familiarity with advanced security tools-such as endpoint detection solutions, configuration management platforms, or cloud-security technologies-is a plus.
- Excellent analytical thinking paired with a practical, solution-driven approach.
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal oversight.
- Professional proficiency in English and Dutch; French is beneficial.
