Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent 3 years of higher education).
Skills You'll Need
- Basic knowledge of how to design secure systems.
- Understanding of Zero Trust (never assume anyone is safe by default).
- Familiarity with firewalls, secure coding, and app security basics.
- Interest in identity and access management (who gets access to what).
- Awareness of common standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST).
- Willingness to learn incident response and digital forensics.
- Curiosity about DevOps and how security fits in.
- Basic understanding of encryption (TLS, AES, RSA).
- Interest in cloud security.
- Eagerness to learn penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
- Awareness of new areas like AI security, quantum-safe encryption, and privacy tools.
Experience & Certifications
- Ideally at least 2 years in security architecture.
- Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are a big plus.
- Experience in projects where security is critical and things change quickly.
