Job description

The Technical Trainer & Field Application Specialist will deliver technical training and provide in-field support to ensure the successful implementation and operation of Casambi networks across APAC., Training & Education

  • Deliver Casambi Fundamentals and Advanced Training sessions to customers, partners, and internal teams in both Online and in person. Travelling will be needed from time to time.

  • Conduct hands-on workshops, online webinars, and certification programs in accordance with Casambi's training framework.

  • Maintain and regularly update training materials, demo kits, and documentation to reflect the latest product updates and best practices.

  • Track and manage participant progress, feedback, and certification records.

  • Support training-related marketing activity or partner enablement initiatives (e.g., Lunch & Learn sessions, technical seminars).

Field Application & Technical Support

  • Provide on-site and remote support for system setup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Casambi networks.

  • Conduct site evaluations, system checks, and post-installation reviews to ensure project quality and stability.

  • Identify and document recurring field issues for escalation to Casambi's global support or R&D teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the support team to ensure consistent delivery of Casambi training and service quality.

  • Provide feedback and insights from field experience to improve product documentation and training content.

  • Represent Casambi at technical events, exhibitions, and customer demonstrations where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Certification in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Technology, or a related technical discipline.

  • 3-5 years of experience in lighting control systems, field applications, or commissioning roles.

  • Prior experience conducting technical training or customer workshops is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Lighting control protocols, Bluetooth® Mesh networks, DALI, and DMX protocols.

  • Familiarity with lighting fixture integration, drivers, sensors, electrical wiring and control devices.

  • Competence in on-site troubleshooting and commissioning of lighting control systems.

  • Proficiency in standard digital tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM/ticketing systems.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in both English and Chinese.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to deliver engaging technical training and manage diverse audiences.

  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and within regional teams.

  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region (approx. 20-30%).
