Job description

Play a key role in shaping the future of Identity & Access Management across a global technology organisation. We are partnering with a major international enterprise undergoing a large-scale IAM transformation, and they are looking for an experienced IAM SME to elevate standards, strengthen controls, and operationalise a new Target Operating Model across multiple regions.

This is a high-impact position where you will bring structure, maturity, and governance excellence to a complex, global environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Establish and refine IAM governance frameworks and controls across a distributed global landscape.
  • Lead governance reviews, risk assessments, and audit preparations to ensure access management processes remain compliant and secure.
  • Drive the rollout and adoption of the IAM Target Operating Model, ensuring consistent process alignment across hubs and regions.
  • Shape strategy for IAM governance across areas such as identity federation, SSO, RBAC, and automation-led process improvements.
  • Define and monitor governance KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics that support decision-making and operational maturity.
  • Partner with internal engineering, security, and cloud teams to embed governance principles into enterprise technologies and cloud services.
  • Support team capability building by mentoring colleagues and contributing to governance readiness for audits, incidents, and platform upgrades.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in IAM governance, identity lifecycle management, authentication standards, and directory services.
  • 5+ years of experience in IAM operations/governance within a large and complex global environment.
  • Proven background in improving and managing IAM processes at scale.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SailPoint, Okta, or Ping Identity.
  • Experience with Lean, OPEX, or Six Sigma methodologies is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior technical stakeholders and communicate governance concepts clearly.
  • Awareness of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
  • Experience managing external vendors or third-party service providers.

Benefits & conditions

Why it's exciting

  • Hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office in Barcelona) with flexibility, including the option to work abroad for part of the year.
  • Competitive compensation including bonuses, pension, shares, and strong learning and development support.
  • A global environment undergoing major transformation - your governance leadership will have real influence.
