As we embark on migrating our diverse SAP landscapes to S/4HANA, you'll play a crucial role in modernizing our finance systems and processes for the next generation.
What you will do:

As a Business Analyst in Accounting and Asset Management, you will contribute to the migration of multiple SAP systems to S/4HANA, helping to harmonize finance processes across our retail and travel businesses.

Analyze and optimize finance processes, covering topics such as:

Document types, number ranges, and open item clearing for high transaction volumes

Attaching documents to FI-postings and ensuring proper archiving for audit and compliance

Document splitting and default profit center assignment for multi-brand and multi-country operations

Design and implement solutions leveraging Business Transaction Events for custom-specific processes

Support the transition of e-Document functionalities in S/4HANA to comply with diverse European regulations

Understand that SAF-T is not a juice and ensure digital compliance readiness in our new systems

Help shape our Advanced Financial Closing strategy in S/4HANA

Contribute to Intercompany Matching and Reconciliation improvements during and after migration

Manage VAT, withholding tax, and tax disclosures using S/4HANA tools like Tax Compliance and Document & Reporting Compliance

Oversee integration topics for FI-postings initiated by external systems-from traditional IDocs to modern APIs fitting our retail and travel tech stack

Apply your knowledge of extended asset accounting processes, supporting everything from store investments to digital assets

Ensure a smooth transition of Asset Accounting functions to S/4HANA, including parallel valuation, asset lifecycles, and integration with controlling

Support fixed asset processes across multiple countries and legal entities, taking into account local GAAP, IFRS, and group-wide reporting requirements
Requirements
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant, or similar role in Finance/Accounting, ideally with exposure to S/4HANA projects
- Solid knowledge of SAP FI (or S/4HANA Finance) and related modules
- Interest in legal and regulatory topics like e-Document requirements, SAF-T, and tax compliance * Understanding of migration challenges and opportunities in moving from legacy SAP systems to S/4HANA
- Deep understanding of Asset Accounting (FI-AA) in SAP, including legacy transfers, depreciation areas, and S/4HANA-specific enhancements
- Experience supporting complex fixed asset structures, ideally in an international or multi-brand environment
- Familiarity with local and international accounting standards relevant to asset accounting (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP)
- A passion for transforming business needs into sustainable solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English; German or other languages are a plus
