Job description
As part of our continued expansion, Xerox IT Services requires an Enterprise Solutions Architect to join our IT Solution Design team engaged UK wide with clients on IT strategy, architectures, design, and deployment & service methods.
The primary focus of our Enterprise Solutions Architects (ESAs) is that of strategic visionary, analysing current IT landscapes, identifying areas for improvement, and creating roadmaps for future development. Our ESAs bridge the gap between our clients' business needs and IT solutions, ensuring technology is scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective.
The ESA will also play a crucial role in contributing and evolving Xerox's own IT architecture practice. The role will work closely with our Subject Matter Experts to ensure constant innovation & best practice for our clients. Main Duties
Strategy Alignment:
- Ensure our clients' IT strategy and infrastructure directly support and enable business goals and vision.
Technology Roadmapping:
- Develop long-term technical roadmaps that guide the evolution of the enterprise architecture.
Architecture Design:
- Oversee the design and implementation of technology frameworks, across infrastructure, data, systems, and security.
Process Improvement:
- Advise on business processes and IT systems to help identify opportunities for optimization, increased flexibility, and cost reduction.
Risk Management:
- Balance competing concerns such as cost, technical advancement, and future agility, and work to avoid technical debt.
Future Vision:
- Forecast industry trends and integrate applicable technologies to create strategic advantages.
As part of a dedicated client team the following responsibilities will apply:

Ensure there is a robust process and governance in place and is operational for IT strategy alignment, architecture definition and technology roadmapping.

Drive the creation and maintenance of IT strategy, architectures and roadmaps.

Ensure all facets are included and are integrated: technology, systems and importantly data.

Work closely with the clients CISO (or equivalent) to build in appropriate cyber security controls and protection to all designs and plans.

Act as a Quality Assurance gate for architectural matters within project development, for instance around low level design.

Support the Programme Office in prioritisation and scheduling reviews.

Deliver benefit realisation reports for strategic IT initiatives.
Requirements

An excellent understanding of the principles of IT strategy formation and realisation.

Practical knowledge of current IT infrastructures, systems and data methods deployed in mid-market and enterprise scale businesses.

Proficient in the design of solutions involving:

Strong analytical, logical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience
- At least seven years' experience working in a customer facing IT environment, and at least 3 of those as a senior IT architect.
Qualifications

Educated to degree level in an IT specialisation.
-
TOGAF or equivalent certification.
