Job description

Reporting to the operations leadership team in Swindon, you will oversee the Network Operations Centre, ensuring 99.9%+ availability for EV chargers, solar and BESS while championing predictive maintenance and innovation. The role blends strategic asset management, team leadership and vendor partnerships in a high-growth renewables environment.?, * Lead the NOC team to deliver reliable, safe operation of EV charging networks, solar farms and BESS assets, resolving Tier 2/3 incidents and minimising downtime.?

  • Develop and own network maintenance strategies, policies and procedures, integrating data analytics, condition monitoring and emerging tech for predictive/preventative programmes.?
  • Manage the full NOC budget and P&L, optimising costs while coordinating with engineering, customer support and procurement on asset lifecycle, scheduling and capex projects.?
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement through training and KPIs.?
  • Act as primary liaison with charger manufacturers and suppliers, negotiating contracts and driving operational excellence.?
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, risk assessments and contingency planning for network emergencies, reporting KPIs to senior leadership.?
  • Drive process innovation and system optimisation to maximise asset efficiency and support net-zero goals.?

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading network/asset management for EV chargers, solar, BESS or similar critical infrastructure.?
  • Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary technical teams with strong safety and compliance focus.?
  • Degree in Engineering, Asset Management or related field; professional membership (IET/IMechE/IEEE) and certifications (CMIOSH/IAM) desirable.?
  • Advanced skills in CMMS, data analytics, financial acumen and stakeholder management.?

Desirable:

  • Experience in EV/renewables sector with shift/24/7 operations exposure.?
