Job description
- Own the API product and roadmap.
- Act as the primary stakeholder for internal APIs and third-party integrations.
- Translate API capabilities into user stories and prioritise the backlog.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure APIs support seamless user flows.
- Drive agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups) with offshore teams.
- Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Ensure product quality through collaboration with QA and adherence to standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks, while tracking adoption and performance metrics.
- Support customer readiness and engagement for API go-live.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong API expertise to lead the design, delivery and adoption of new API services for our client., * Proven experience as a Product Owner with experience of designing and delivering API-focused Projects/Products.
- Strong proficiency in user story creation, backlog prioritisation, and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Technical aptitude with understanding of web and mobile technologies (React, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter).
- Ability to interpret and work with data models and payloads (JSON, XML) - coding not required, but comprehension essential.
- Experience working with offshore development teams.
- Strong grasp of data flow from source to user, ensuring APIs deliver reliable, scalable services.
- Financial services experience - desirable
