What you'll build:
You will be part of the Global Content Group - an SAP unit that builds a very large RDF knowledge graph.
In your function, you will:
- Contribute to a knowledge graph construction and consumption platform via conceptualization and implementation
- Work as an expert in a development team
- Conceptualize and execute the product research strategy of the group
- Translate academic findings into product engineering
- Maintain contacts within academia (universities, professors)
- Supervise Bachelor's theses, Master's theses, and academic research projects
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations and transition them to product engineering
- Guide students in their research projects
- Communicate complexity to experts and the management
Requirements
- PhD (or PhD close to completion) in computer science
- Strong scientific background with a strong track record of top venue publications (e.g., ELDB, SIGMOD, NeurIPS)
- Strong development skills, particularly in Python
- Knowledge in cloud application development, particularly Kubernetes
- Deep knowledge in data management and data modeling
- Very deep knowledge in RDF-based knowledge graphs - particularly OWL ontologies and RDF
- Proven experience with neuro-symbolic AI systems
- Very strong communication skills in German and English
