Job description
- Lead Simulation Design: Architect, create, and manage realistic simulation scenes, leveraging environments such as Isaac Sim.
- Physics Modelling: Design and implement highly accurate, physics-based assets that faithfully represent robotic components and manufacturing environments.
- Scenario Development: Develop diverse and robust simulation scenarios critical for validating control algorithms and system resilience.
- Scene Dynamics & Logic: Implement logic and sophisticated behaviours for controlling complex scene dynamics and interactions.
- Workflow Optimisation: Build and deploy tools and workflows that streamline the simulation development lifecycle.
- Digital Twin Strategy: Shape the company's digital twin strategy, ensuring seamless integration between virtual testing and real-world system performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Robotics, AI/ML, and Systems Engineering teams to support their simulation needs.
Requirements
- Experience & Domain: 5+ years of demonstrable experience in simulation engineering or game development.
- Engine Proficiency: Expertise with industry-leading 3D engines such as Unity3D, Unreal Engine, Godot, or NVIDIA Omniverse.
- Technical Foundation: Deep understanding of 3D mathematics, including linear algebra and kinematics.
- Simulation Core Concepts: Skilled in collision detection, rigid body dynamics, and particle systems.
- Coding Discipline: Pragmatic and clean coder committed to maintainable, well-documented, high-quality software.
- Tooling: Proficient in Python and comfortable with Linux environments.
- Mindset: Passionate about robotics, industrial automation, and intelligent systems. Self-motivated, curious, and proactive, taking full ownership of projects.
