Job description
- Lead delivery of major AI projects and advance ML development within Kingfisher.
- Oversee multiple teams across business domains, ensuring end-to-end ML solutions.
- Develop and support ML team leads overseeing domain-based project teams.
- Build diverse teams that translate business needs into ML solutions and communicate recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Foster cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing across Group AI.
- Partner with Technology, Product and Data colleagues to shape data platforms that embed ML into products and processes.
- Advocate for the value of ML throughout the group.
- Support the data leadership team in building a strong data culture and evidence-based decisions.
- Contribute to the recognition and growth of the Group AI brand.
Requirements

Strong leadership experience building, mentoring and organising high-performing ML teams.

Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills.

Solid grounding in computer science - algorithms, data structures, modelling and software architecture.

Deep understanding of classical ML and modern deep-learning methods.

Proficiency in SQL and Python with familiarity of the Python data ecosystem.

Experience with Generative AI and agent-based frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.

Clear grasp of the ML development lifecycle and MLOps principles.

Proven experience delivering AI solutions to production, including cloud-based services.

Comfort with CI / CD, data pipelines and containerised deployments such as Kubernetes and Kubeflow.
