Job description
- Analysis of customer-, mission- and system requirements (specifications, SoW), including execution of a functional analysis, definition of a requirements tree and identification of proposed adaptations
- Execution of trade-offs, analysis and definition of parts of the mission- and system architecture
- Contribution to the definition and design of space systems including mission- and system design, responsible for analyses and design of subsystems and their specifications
- Lead and technical coordination of subprojects and internal projects
- Technical coordination of special departments and single subcontractors by order of Systems Engineering
- Manager (m/f/d) and/or the Project Manager (m/f/d) for selected systems or mission elements
- Partial responsibility for project performance (schedule, cost, quality) as part of the project success
Requirements
- Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification
- Many years of professional experience in several projects and relevant project phases (0/A/B1) of science, exploration, space safety and/or space transportation missions
- Deeper knowledge of one or several subsystems with all its aspects (requirements, design, interfaces, technologies, verification, AIT)
- Knowledge of requirements analysis for subsystems of space systems
- Knowledge of preparation of specifications
- Knowledge of the definition of space system architectures for the entire space system and platform subsystems, responsible design of specific subsystems
- Knowledge of mission definition, -sequence and -analysis
- Knowledge of interfaces definition to payload, launch and ground segment, specific subsystems of space systems
- Knowledge of design and development planning (DDV/AIV) including determination of the qualification status (TRL)
- Knowledge of support to risk management
- Knowledge of ECSS and other relevant standards
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
- Knowledge of market developments, competition, new technologies and innovations
