Senior Technical Architect
4-6 Month Contract + Potential Extensions
Hybrid Work Model (1-2 Days Onsite in Canary Wharf)
Active SC Clearance Required

Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and maintain architectural roadmaps across multiple digital services.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Produce architectural artefacts including diagrams, integrations, and future-state designs.
- Evaluate technology options across cloud, data, security, and infrastructure.
- Ensure services are robust, secure, maintainable, and cloud-ready.
- Provide technical oversight, mentoring, and leadership within delivery teams.
Key Experience:
- 5+ years as a Solution or Technical Architect in complex digital or enterprise environments.
- Strong software engineering foundation with expertise in modern application architectures (microservices, APIs, distributed systems).
- Proficiency in architectural modelling techniques (C4, UML, data flow diagrams).
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (preferably AWS), including Infrastructure as Code, networking, and security.
- Deep understanding of secure system design, authentication patterns, and observability.
- Familiarity with languages such as Ruby, Python, or Java, and modern practices (CI/CD, TDD, containerisation).
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, API design, and integration patterns.
