Senior Ruby On Rails Developer

Job Title: Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Location: Remote Start Date: January

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Consultant to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of in-house enterprise web applications within our clients complex environment.

The role involves gathering and analysing business requirements, designing and building new Ruby on Rails applications, supporting live systems, resolving defects, and delivering iterative improvements. You'll be involved across the full software development life cycle, from design through testing and release, while maintaining high-quality technical documentation.

Key requirements:

• At least 2 years hands-on Ruby on Rails using BDD/TDD
• Experience building APIs for Rails applications
• Strong skills in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux environments
• Exposure to containers (eg Kubernetes), VMware, Nginx/HAProxy
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (working with non-technical users)

Desirable:

• Open-source project contribution
• Experience in large or international organisations
