Job description
We are seeking a versatile Data Infrastructure Software Developer with strong experience in secure cloud deployment and operational reliability to join the growing Data Operations team. You will play an important role in designing, deploying, and maintaining the cloud-based systems that power our data pipelines, scientific workflows, and internal/external applications.
You'll collaborate across software, operations, and scientific teams to ensure our platform is robust, secure, scalable, and compliant with industry best practices. Tasks
- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud-native infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP) supporting data pipelines, services, and scientific applications.
- Develop infrastructure to maintain reproducible and auditable environments.
- Help build and operate CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement logging, metrics, and alerting across services and environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure security (identity/permissions, network segmentation, secrets management).
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and scientists to translate operational requirements into scalable solutions.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives-vulnerability management, compliance, and secure-by-design practices.
Requirements
- 2-5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS/GCP/Azure services including compute, networking, storage, and others.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo, Jenkins, etc.).
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices (IAM, secrets management, encryption, hardening) is a plus.
- Experience in regulated environments or biotech/life sciences is helpful but not required.
- Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced startup environment where ownership is expected and impact is immediate.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop recommendations / solutions.

We offer annual gross salary starting from EUR 50.000,- depending on qualification and experience.
