IT Automation Test Engineer

Mission and Responsibilities

As an IT Automation Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Test Scenario Management: Identify, create, and manage both manual and automated test scenarios.
• Test Execution: Conduct various tests, including functional, non-functional, regression, and correction tests.
• Testing Frameworks and Tools: Set up and manage testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes.
• Mobile and Web Application Testing: Perform thorough testing on both mobile applications and web applications.

Project Context:

You will be joining our VIDIS and UHMEP projects, focusing on the development of mobile and web applications that manage patient prescriptions, presenting them to both patients and care providers.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with testing tools like Cypress, SoapUI/Postman.

• Experience with Testlink for describing test scenarios and collecting results.

• Basic understanding of Java code.

• Familiarity with SQL, XML, and JSON files.

• Extensive experience in testing web applications.

Methodologies and Certifications:

• Strong knowledge of testing approaches, methodologies, and techniques.
• ISTQB and/or TMAP Next certification.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience as a test analyst, handling both functional and technical testing.
• Good knowledge of the BPMN language.
• Proficiency in Front End application testing.
• Expertise in API testing with Postman.
• Experience with test management tools and project management tools like Testrail and Redmine.

Additional Skills:

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and manage functional, technical, and regression tests.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in automation testing.

Extended Profile and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the evolution of quality policies related to testing within the organization.
• Promote quality actions, including the implementation of necessary testing tools like master test plans, test scenarios, etc.
• Collaborate with partners to define the requirements for new applications, adaptations, and maintenance.
• Participate in defining the testing strategy and adapt the project team's testing schedule.
• Coordinate and if necessary, participate in the preparation, execution, and follow-up of tests (compliance, functional, regression, unit, integration, load, performance, and E2E tests).
• Assist business users during validation tests.
• Coordinate the implementation of test execution reports, issue tracking, and follow-up on corrections and implementations.
• Define and monitor improvement action plans (lessons learned/sharing best practices).
• Supervise quality checks of deliverables.
• Define quality criteria and make them SMART via dashboards/reports.

Tools and Notations:

• Tools:

• JIRA/Xray/Confluence for project and test management.

• TestLink for test scenario management.

• QTP or Selenium for automation testing.

• JMeter for performance testing.

Notations:

• BPMN notation for process modelling.

Skills

The candidate must be fluent in either French or Dutch and have an understanding of the other language.

Location:

Onsite work in Brussels required 3 days per week with 2 days per week remote work, candidates must already be based in Belgium.
