Job description
We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will work alongside Chief Data Officers and business stakeholders to design and implement data governance frameworks, while also getting hands-on with tools such as data catalogs, data quality platforms, and MDM solutions.
You'll join a multidisciplinary data team passionate about helping organizations manage their data as a true business asset.
Your key areas of responsibility as a Data Governance consultant:
- Designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and processes aligned with business needs.
- Working closely with business and IT teams to define data ownership models, steward responsibilities, and data lifecycle rules.
- Leading the deployment and configuration of governance tools, such as data catalogs (e.g., Collibra, Alation), MDM solutions, or data quality platforms, ensuring they are effectively embedded in operational processes.
- Running hands-on data profiling, quality checks, and issue resolution processes in collaboration with technical teams.
- Supporting the evaluation and selection of data management platforms, participating in implementation and change management.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, nFADP) through robust governance practices and documentation.
- Promoting a data-driven culture by delivering training, building internal documentation, and supporting adoption of governance practices.
- Staying up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and regulatory evolutions in the data space.
Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

Hands-on experience in data governance or data management, ideally in consulting or within complex organizations.

Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Ataccama, etc.).

A solid understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, nFADP).

Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.

A strategic mindset with the ability and willingness to execute operational tasks.

A data governance or data management certification (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) is a strong plus.
