Our "Development" department takes care of the heart of Finnova, our core banking software. Right in the middle: The AI Engineering & AI Products team. We are a small, growing team with a clear mission: to turn AI from hype into productive reality - both in our development processes and in our products. As a Software Engineer AI Products, you develop enterprise AI products in the Java microservice environment - from the first proof of concept to production-ready solutions. You are passionate about...
- developing enterprise AI products in the Java microservice environment - throughout the entire product lifecycle (PoC, development, updates, but no operations)
- rapid prototyping and bringing these to production maturity
- Gen-AI development with Java: integrating LLMs, developing prompting strategies, building RAG systems
- designing architectures that are scalable, maintainable, and enterprise-ready
- clearly communicating technical concepts and architectural decisions to product owners, business stakeholders, and customers
- staying at the forefront of AI development and shaping a team
Requirements
- Bring years of Java backend experience and Gen-AI development skills.
- Proficient in Java, Microservices, and relevant tech stacks.
- Strong communication skills in German (C1) and English (B2)., * with several years of professional experience in Java backend development and microservices architectures
- with practical experience in Gen-AI development and basic knowledge in machine learning/deep learning and familiarity with the relevant tech stack (Java, ideally Quarkus, microservices, databases, cloud) and modern development practices
- through the ability to quickly develop prototypes as well as build sustainable, production-ready software and justify and communicate technical decisions
- with your independent working style, hands-on mentality, and ability to switch between exploration and structured product development
- through your business fluent German skills (level C1) and English skills at level B2
