Job description

The NetSec Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of network solutions across Swatch Group's campuses, branch offices and retail environments. This role contributes to the stability, scalability, and security of the network infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards. The engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality network services and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you are responsible to:

  • Design, configure, and implement network infrastructure solutions for campus, branch & retail environments including industrial environments considerations (OT / IoT).
  • Maintain and develop technical documentation and architectural standards
  • Define and update work instructions for the network operations team
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure integrated solutions
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external providers for project delivery and support
  • Participate in small to medium-sized network projects and service transitions
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for network-related incidents and requests
  • Take the role of Engineer on Duty according to the planned schedule and role description

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching technologies (Cisco Catalyst, Cisco
  • DNA)
  • Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols
  • Experience with Retail environment and Cisco Meraki products
  • Experience with Cisco unified Wireless is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Fortinet firewalls and network security principles
  • Understanding of WAN technologies including MPLS and Riverbed optimization
  • Interest in network automation and scripting (API, Python)
  • Exposure to ITIL processes and service-oriented practices
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Fortinet NSE, or CompTIA Network+ are considered a plus
  • Customer focus and service oriented.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Professional requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or ES degree or equivalent in computer science
  • Professional experience of minimum 2 years in an equivalent role is expected
