Honda R&D Europe (Deutschland) GmbH, located in Offenbach, is a renowned research and development center dedicated to pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation. The HMI section plays a pivotal role in designing and developing new interfaces that enhance the interaction between drivers, passengers, and vehicles. As an intern/working student in this section, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled professionals, gaining experience in developing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for future Honda vehicles and the tools surrounding it. It is your chance to play a role in shaping the future of automotive technology.

• Gain hands-on experience by benchmarking car Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for usability and user experience (UX)
• Conduct UX research to better understand user needs and interactions
• Improve user interfaces (UIs) through iterative testing and refinement

• Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science or similar fields
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required
• Familiarity with tools like Figma and SharePoint or similar tech is preferred. Bonus points for experience in frontend development languages (HTML, CSS)
• A solid grasp of key principles and methodologies in UCD. This includes understanding of UX methods, conducting user studies, deriving UI requirements and implementation in SharePoint website, and supporting general research and reporting efforts
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are vital for collaborating effectively with our team
